what can i study in a private lesson?
We customize each lesson to the student’s needs and work together to reach personal goals for success. Our private tutors can adapt to your learning style and make a plan that will work best for you! For private lessons, we can cover almost any English-related topic. Speaking, listening, grammar, reading, writing, accent reduction, pronunciation, test prep, TOEFL, ISEE, IELTS, conversational English, situational English, business English, English for specific situations, and much more!
We also offer tutoring in English Language Arts related subjects for all students and levels, not just ESL students.
Who do you teach?
Our focus is teaching adults; however, we are happy to accept students of all ages! Because our lessons are online, we tend to be a better fit for middle school and older but welcome students of all ages and levels!
We work directly with companies that contact us to help improve the English of their employees. We also work indirectly with companies that provide stipends for their employees to apply towards English lessons. And we work with any individuals looking to improve their own English!
when and how often will my lesson be?
Time, frequency, and class duration can all be set up to fit your needs. Some lessons meet once a week; others meet every day. Most lessons are 1 or 1.5 hours. For younger students, many lessons are 30 or 45 minutes.
do you give a free trial lesson?
We don’t give free trials, but we always provide a free short evaluation meeting before the first lesson. This allows the teacher and student to meet and make sure they’ll be a good fit. It also allows us to get an informal evaluation of your English level. During this time, we can also discuss the best plan forward. As a further promise to you, if you aren’t happy after the first official lesson and decide not to continue with Lauren’s Language Lessons, you will not need to pay for the lesson.
How much do private lessons cost?
Our normal prices are as follows:
Package of 20 hours – $800
Package of 10 hours – $425
*Customized packages may be arranged upon request
*Please note all listed prices are for online tutoring. Any in-person tutoring may be priced differently.
What kind of payments do you accept?
We accept payments by credit card, debit card, Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle.
