It’s 2020. With all of the free language apps, a lot of people are asking this question.

Why should you spend more time and money doing something you could just do on your phone on your own terms, often for free?

At Lauren’s Language Lessons, we think many of today’s language learning apps and services are wonderful. In fact, we often recommend them to our students as additional resources.

But ultimately, we believe that if you truly want to excel when it comes to language, nothing can truly take the place of face to face live interaction. While language learning apps are excellent tools, learning and practicing face to face with an expert tutor or teacher can help you improve much more quickly, more efficiently, and more enjoyably.

We also find that exploring language with a tutor rather than an app can help give you a needed bump of encouragement that can keep you going when learning gets tough or language gets complicated or life gets busy.
